Lesson 7: Be the sign. Your clients need you to remind them what to do!
This picture was taken on December 9, 2009 in the Atlantic City Convention Center parking lot. While I was walking into the Triple Play Real Estate Convention, I overheard the conversation of several people who were walking ahead of me. One gentleman remarked that he had left his parking ticket inside the car despite the numerous signs placed throughout the parking garage to remind him and others not to forget their ticket.
Buyers may know it is a good time to buy, they may even see the signs, but it’s up to you to explain why it is a good time to buy, why they are getting a good deal, etc. Your clients need you to be their sign and even go one step forward: explain the benefits of homeownership or home selling or that matter. Be the sign. Your clients are looking for your directions and professional opinion despite having access to the signs and information. Lead the way with your directions.
