I’m into second chances. When I first tried Tweetlister, the system crashed twice and I wasn’t able to add my listing. But on second chance, one successful listing added, I’m liking Tweetlister more and more. It’s as if it was designed by Realtors for Realtors, but Realtors are not the only people who benefit from it’s use.

  • Twitter is a microblogging service or at least that is what it was meant to be. What it has become is a real time search engine. With 23 million unique visitors per month, it is by far the fastest growing source for real time information or conversations about products or services.
  • Tweetlister, a new tool for listing properties for sale or rent, combines the functions of Tweetlater.com, bit.ly and lead capture pages into one twitter friendly listing service.
  • On Tweetlister you can: Set it and forget it! Once you add a listing to Tweetlister, you can set ot to update your status with property details as often as you want to remind your followers. Each listing comes with lead capture page (a contact form) allowing a client to contact you directly, which is the ultimate lead generation system.
  • What you should know is that internet leads, have high expectations. You just have to be prepared to RESPOND FAST. Internet Consumers expect a call back sometimes within 2 hours to 8 hours if not sooner.  
  • Enhanced Features:  (free for now)
  • View Walk Score TM: It shows how accessible the home/property is to various places in town.
  • First Twitter Listing System.
  • Serious buyers and sellers will continue to use established websites for real estate information. Listing a property for sale on Tweetlister is simply another way to earn additional exposure. This does not mean your current exposure is inadequate. Buyers and seller will continue to search the MLSs, Realtor.com, Trulia.com, homes.com, your company website, and Zillow among other top real estate websites for property details.
  • For a Realtor, it might mean another system to maintain proven results. Something to think about as you move forward in your business.
  • Also, you can find school information, maps, loan calculator on traditional real estate information sites-no unique advantage to tweetlister. 
For Sell By Owner
  • Free Exposure with friends and family i.e. your followers and the real estate community in general. Be Ready for Realtor contacts.
  • Free
  • The site caters to both Realtors and For Sale By Owners, which are two groups that generally do not cooperate with each other. Not sure how this will play out.
  • It could be a  new prospecting source for Realtors. (Pro for Realtors, con or Sellers, who might be contacted by agents who are looking to earn a listing your home for sale).  
  • 80% of for sale by owners eventually list with an agent.


For Buyers
  • As a buyer, one can search for listings. If a listing has enhanced features (added by Realtor or seller), one can see the property on a map, calculate the monthly mortgage, view the property on Google maps, check out local schools and see the walk score of a property, which is score given to a property to determine how accessible the property is to surrounding places i.e. stores, restaurants, schools, parks, etc.

WALK Score is cool!

  • You can get maps, mortgage calculator, and school info on most real estate information sites. There no unique advantage to Tweetlister here.

  • 90–100 = Walkers’ Paradise: Most errands can be accomplished on foot and many people get by without owning a car.
  • 70–89 = Very Walkable: It’s possible to get by without owning a car.
  • 50–69 = Somewhat Walkable: Some stores and amenities are within walking distance, but many everyday trips still require a bike, public transportation, or car.
